Our Pride and Joy

Kaitlyn is such an active 3 year old. Kaitlyn loves to play with play-doh, do jigsaw puzzles, build with blocks, color, use her imagination, and she loves to dance. I thought I would share a couple pictures of Kaitlyn "dancing".

My Love..........

With Valentine's Day coming up on Saturday, I thought I would share a little about my Valentine. Kevin and I will be married for 12 years this July 5th (now days we should get some kind of award). Kevin is a loving, caring, sweet, strong, hardworking, dedicated, trustworthy, honest, and passionate man. He is a wonderful husband, and a terrific daddy. I have always loved Kevin, but as days pass I find myself loving him even more. I still get excited when the phone rings and I know it is Kevin calling, my heart still skips a beat when his car pulls up, because I get to see him, and nothing makes me feel safe and loved more than the sound of his voice. Kevin provides us with so much and he works so hard for us, and I am grateful to him everyday for all that he does for our family. I Love You is something we say probably 10 times a day or more, and knowing that every time we say it we mean it is such a wonderful feeling. Knowing that I have someone in my life that loves me as much as I love them is overwhelming yet amazing. Kevin and I have shared a lot in our lives together, some good and some bad, but we always come through every situation better and stronger than ever. Kaitlyn is our greatest accomplishment, she is the living picture of how much Kevin and I love each other. I am so grateful to have Kevin and Kaitlyn in my life, and I thank God everyday for bringing them to me! So, on this Valentine's Day tell the loves of your life how much you love them and what they mean to you! Happy Valentine's Day Kevin! I Love You more than I could ever say!!

The Things Kids Say

Kaitlyn is always saying funny things and she remembers EVERYTHING. Her favorite sayings now are "it's freaking my out", "forget it", "I floated an air biscuit", and "I squeezed the cheese". The last two she got from watching weird science with me one time. Kaitlyn also remembers that I was pregnant for a short time in September/October, and occasionally mentions that "Meleah is having a baby brother soon and I am having a baby sister". It breaks my heart that I can't explain to her that a baby isn't coming, so I just tell her that hopefully sometime soon we will have a baby sister. Today she said "Maleah is going to have a baby brother soon and I am going to have a baby sister and I will rock her in the rocking chair, this rocking chair (pointing to the one in our living room)". Please keep praying that we get pregnant soon, every month that passes makes it harder and harder and I am losing hope!

Confession Of A New Mommy 2

One time when Kaitlyn was a about a year and a half old, I forgot to feed her dinner once. I had been at Miranda's all day watching Maleah. Kaitlyn fell asleep in the car on the way home, and was still sleeping when we got home. We went inside, I laid Kaitlyn down in the pack-n-play and got started on dinner.Kevin and I ate dinner, then we cleaned up......Kaitlyn was still napping. After dinner on nice days we would take a nice walk, so Kaitlyn woke up and we got ready for our walk. When we got home I gave Kaitlyn a bath, read her a story, gave her a cup of milk, and then it was off to bed. Kaitlyn was unusually fussy, and I couldn't get her to sleep no matter what I tried. Then I finally realized the poor kid was starving, because I forgot to feed her dinner after she woke up from her nap. I felt like such a bad Mommy for the longest time after that, and I have never forgotten to feed her again.
